| Jon Nelson - Biography |
| I joined the Windermere Real Estate family as a realtor in November 2005. Prior to this, I worked in the computer software field for 35 years. From 1975 to 1994, I was a civilian member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Ottawa, Canada. For 15 of those years, I was a Senior Analyst Programmer, programming micro-computers for law enforcement applications. My last project was to connect all law enforcement computer systems in Canada to all law enforcement computer systems in the United States via Interpol. I have had the pleasure to work with various law enforcement agencies in both Canada and the United States. Agencies in the United States I have worked with include the FBI, US Department of Justice, State and local law enforcement agencies. In addition, I have worked with Interpol in Canada, the United States and Europe. |
| In 1994, I relocated to Chicago, Illinois and worked for the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) as a project manager. Again, I had the pleasure of working with the FBI, US Customs and State and City police departments on various projects related to auto theft and insurance fraud. |
| My wife Monica and I moved to the Phoenix area in 1999 and lived in the Desert Ridge community of North Phoenix. In 2001, we had the good fortune to start our own business within the Sun City Grand community. We currently own the Sunrise Salon & Spa, located within Sun City Grand, next to Osco Drugs. Commuting between Desert Ridge and Sun City Grand became quite an effort for my wife, so in March 2005, we moved to our new home in Sun City Grand. |
